The Grand Mufti of Egypt, Dr. Shawqi Allah, conveyed his sympathy and solidarity with the French people and condemned the terror attacks in Paris. In a press statement, Dr. Shawqi stressed that Muslims all over the world believe these terror attacks to be criminal acts that contravene all norms of religion and humanness. He added that the spread of terrorism in European and Arab countries demands a united front of all world countries against extremist and terrorist action.

Dr. Shawqi asked the French government to take all possible security measures to protect the Muslim community in France against potential attacks.
